TEXARKANA — Comedy Night, a Black History Month event sponsored by Texarkana College and Texas A&M University-Texarkana, has been postponed until Friday because of problems caused by inclement weather.

Power outages and poor internet service contributed to the decision to push back the event, which will feature comedian Derrick Keener on a Zoom call in celebration of Black History Month.

This event is one of several TC and TAMU-T are partnering to put on.

"Texarkana College is looking forward to this event because during this kind of weather our students and staff need something to laugh about," said Robert Jones, dean of students.

Other events upcoming in a program include testimonials, up-close footage of community landmarks and more streamed on Facebook and YouTube.

Comedy Night will begin at 7 p.m. The Zoom ID to attend is 99958244055.
