Public input may help local police solve two slayings

TEXARKANA, Texas - Detectives with the Texarkana Texas Police Department continue to investigate unsolved homicides and other crimes, but they often run into roadblocks when leads dry up.

A case from 2018 and one from 2019 both remain open with no recent developments.

Police are hopeful information will be found that might prevent these crimes from becoming cold cases.

"Without someone coming forward, the chances of solving them are low," TTPD spokesman Shawn Vaughn said.

In March 2018, police said they found John Neal Jr. dead in the backseat of a burned car along the 4200 block of Findley Street.

Neal was only 19.

Police said they have no suspects and have made no arrests in connection with the case.

"We are up against that brick wall and until somebody comes forward and tells us something, then we're gonna remain against that brick wall," Vaughn said.

In July 2019, the victims of a double homicide were cousins.

The man and woman were found shot to death inside a home in the 200 block of Connella Street.

Police say officers were sent to the home at 10:43 p.m. on a Sunday night. The man and woman, identified as Endsley Robinson III, 38, of Texarkana, Arkansas, and Patrice Danielle Williams, 34, of Texarkana, Texas, were found dead with gunshot wounds.

A motive for the murders was not determined and no arrests have been made.

Anyone with information about either of these crimes is asked to contact the TTPD at 903-798-3116 or Texarkana Area Crime Stoppers at 903-793-STOP.
