TEXARKANA, Texas - The Texarkana Museums System event, "Funkytown," has been cancelled. Originally set for Saturday, this third event in a series set up to celebrate 1971, the founding year of the Texarkana Museum, was called off due to too few people signing up, said a museum representative.
The event was going to feature several '70s era hobbies, such as macrame, latchhook and model cars.
Several other commemorative events are slated, officials say.
