TEXARKANA, Texas - A felony stalking charge has been filed against a Texarkana man who allegedly terrorized a woman after she ended their relationship in April.

Jimmy Lee Eastman Jr., 36, allegedly choked the woman to unconsciousness and threatened to kill her when she ended their six-month relationship April 28, according to a probable cause affidavit. Two days later, Eastman allegedly returned and assaulted the woman by grabbing her by the face, leaving scratch marks that were visible to the police officer who responded to an emergency call.

Eastman allegedly put his arm around the woman's neck and dragged her from her kitchen to her bedroom in her apartment on Robison Road.

"She advised that her neck was still swollen from Eastman strangling her unconscious two days earlier," the affidavit states.

Eastman allegedly called the woman multiple times May 3.

"He stated that he planned to come to her residence and if she called the police, he would kill her and her child," the affidavit states.

The woman reported Eastman had allegedly been watching her apartment from a nearby parking lot, had called her employer attempting to obtain her work schedule and had allegedly called a bomb threat in to her place of employment at Tyson Foods in Broken Bow, Oklahoma.

"Eastman called in a bomb threat to Tyson Chicken that is being investigated by McCurtain County Sheriff's Office," the affidavit states.

The woman's fear led her to ask the father of her child to watch her residence as she slept. Eastman allegedly called the police about the father being in front of the residence.

"The only way Eastman would know that (the father of the woman's child) was there is if he drove by the residence," the affidavit states.

Eastman faces two to 20 years in prison if convicted of stalking. He is currently being held in the Bowie County jail with bail set at $35,000.
