Two more COVID-19 deaths in Bowie County

From Thursday to Monday, Bowie County, Texas, recorded two additional deaths because of COVID-19, bringing the county's death toll to 181, according to the Texas Department of State Health Services.

Active coronavirus cases in Bowie County declined from 491 to 487 in that time, while cumulative confirmed infections increased by 42, from 4,513 to 4,555. There have been 5,877 recoveries in the county.

Elsewhere in Northeast Texas from Thursday to Monday, Red River County's total case count rose from 393 to 394, Morris County's from 562 to 563, Cass County's from 1,114 to 1,123 and Titus County's from 2,642 to 2,656, according to TDSHS.

The Arkansas Department of Health adjusted Miller County, Arkansas' COVID-19 death toll downward from 21 to 19. Active cases in the county fell from 21 to 19 while total cases increased from 2,507 to 2,570. There have been 2,529 recoveries in the county.

In Southwest Arkansas from Thursday to Monday, Lafayette County's case count increased from 357 to 371, Nevada County's from 624 to 636, Pike County's from 739 to 749, Little River County's from 850 to 863, Howard County's from 991 to 1,015, Hempstead County's from 1,372 to 1,431 and Sevier County's from 1,740 to 1,753, according to ADH.

In Northwest Louisiana from Thursday to Monday, Caddo Parish's case count increased from 24,637 to 24,751 and Bossier Parish's from 12,964 to 13,034, according to the Louisiana Department of Health.

Statewide, Arkansas reported 254,128 confirmed cases and 5,250 deaths on Monday, Louisiana reported 430,504 cases and 9,628 deaths, and Texas reported 2,292,097 cases and 42,995 deaths.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Monday reported 28,405,925 cases so far in the U.S., with a national death toll of 511,839.
