DE QUEEN, Ark. - A Sevier County woman was killed Monday night in a one-vehicle accident near De Queen.
Kristian Buchanan, 35, of Gillham, Arkansas, was pronounced dead at 9:44 p.m. at the site of the accident, according to an Arkansas State Police preliminary fatality report.
The crash happened at about 9:05 p.m. on Bellah Mine Road north of De Queen.
Buchanan was a passenger in the 1995 Toyota Tacoma that was westbound on Bellah Mine Road, according to the report.
The driver lost control of the vehicle and left the road on the right shoulder. The vehicle then struck the embankment and began to overturn, the report stated.
Buchanan was ejected from the vehicle.
