TEXARKANA, Texas - In the three weeks Get It -N- Go, a frozen drink and comfort food outlet on State Line Avenue, has been open, owner Shanderalyn Smith has attracted customers from both near and fer.
"We are the only servers of frozen alchoholic drinks on the Texas-side, as far as I know," she said.
Get It -N- Go offers a range of frozen drinks and flavor combos, some with interesting names that are inside jokes among her family and friends.
"We have Can't Get It Right, perfect frozen drink for one of 'those days,' she said. "Then, there's Frenchy, which is a tribute to an uncle who was French-Cajun (in heritage). Also, Attitude Adjustment, feel free to ask me about that one."
Some of the food items on the menu include various Mexican chicken configurations, like tacos, nachos, quesadillas, all-beef chilli cheese dogs, pulled pork on a bun, or pulled pork nachos and more. Also, desserts are available, like sliced cheesecake. Salads are available as well.
Get It -N- Go is not Smith's first business. This one is definitely about her tastes.
"I like frozen drinks," she said about the reason she started the business. "Also, with the changes in Texas-side laws governing alcohol sales and COVID affecting business this place seemed like a good idea. It seems to be working out."
They even have a drive-thru. Just put in your order, drive up, ring the bell and the staff hands you your order.
