TEXARKANA - In a somewhat abbreviated meeting Tuesday, the Main Street Texarkana board gave a quick overview on its lineup of fall events.

The downtown Christmas Parade is back in business, after being canceled last year due to COVID concerns, according to officials. Details are still being worked out, such as theme, format (drive-through or spectator), exact date and the like.

September's Downtown Live went off without a hitch, officials report. Attendance, due to various factors, was down a bit, but attendance at the downtown art and food event was still good. As the weather continues to cool off, attendance is expected to pick back up.

Officials also report the Texarkana City Guide has been out for just over a week. The magazine, which highlights various aspects of Texarkana life, is available for free at various retail outlets outlets around town. Visit the Texarkana Regional Chamber of Commerce, various grocery stores and restaurants to obtain a copy.
