ASHDOWN, Ark. - Ashdown Junior High School Principal Felicia Horn presented teachers Dee Ann Ward and Joanna Seaney Arkansas Association of Middle Level Administrators middle-level grants during a Ashdown School District Board Meeting in September.

Ward's grant will be used for the school's Robotics Competition Team and Mrs. Seaney plans to form a greenhouse/gardening program with students at AJHS.

Joanna Seaney said she was honored to receive a grant to be able to implement hands-on learning for kids at her school.

Ward echoed a similar sentiment.

"It is such an honor to receive this AAMLE grant," Ward said. "I can't wait to use these funds to extend the learning opportunities for our students at AJHS."
