Sharon Cavileer Carter, age 80, of Texarkana, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, August 7, 2019, in the Oaks Memory Care Facility. Sharon was born October 30, 1938 in Austin, Texas to John Palm and Alma Compton Cavileer. She was a retired receptionist at Trinity Baptist Church as well as a long-time member. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, watching Fox News, and cooking dinner on Sundays. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Carter, brother Johnny Cavileer, and her parents. She is survived by her three sons, Steve Carter and wife Tammy of Texarkana, Texas, John Carter and wife Janet of Texarkana, Arkansas, Scott Carter and wife Misty of Atlanta, Texas; her sister, Jackie Lawrence and her husband Richard of Arlington, Texas; nine grandchildren, Whitney Hall and husband Mike, Asilyn Baldwin and husband Chris, Drake Carter and wife Amber, Hayden Carter, Mason Carter and wife Rebecca, Mattison Carter, Clayton Carter, Marissa Burt, Devin Hill and wife Destiny; eight great-grandchildren, Brayden Hall, Hunter Hall, Kayson Carter, Easton Carter, Kameron Williams, Kyleigh Williams, Tatum Hill, Lailah Hill, and a number of other relatives. A celebration of her life will be at 10:00 A. M. Saturday, August 10, 2019 at the Texarkana Funeral Home Arkansas Chapel with Rev. Wallace Edgar officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 PM until 8 PM Friday.
