Jay-Michael Lohse, 35 of Rogers, AR passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 in Dekalb, TX. He was born in Little Rock, AR on September 27, 1984. Jay was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Texarkana, AR. He was a graduate of Texas High School and the University of Texas in Austin. He loved reading the classics and studying literature. He also loved tennis, music, his shoes and watching the UFC every Saturday night. Other hobbies included hunting, fishing and playing golf with his lifelong best friends, Blake Calvert, Brady Gibbs, and Justin Kendrick. He adored his loyal rescue dog Jackie Brown and together they were everything. Jay is preceded in death by his Father, Kirk Lohse, Grandmothers (Nanny) Earlene Bennett, Louise Lohse, and Grandfather HarryLohse. He is survived by his wife, Leisha Lohse of Rogers, AR, Mother, Dana Lohse, Brother, Gabe Lohse, Grandfather, Dan Bennett, Aunts and Uncles, Debbie and Keith Lee and Donna and Tim Nash all of Texarkana, TX. Also, special cousins, Jeremy Lee of Texarkana, TX and Morgan Nash Ward of Dallas, TX, in laws, Liz and Don Jenkins, of Cave Springs, AR, Great Aunt Sylvia Waldrop of Texarkana, TX and his much loved dog Jackie Brown, as well as a host of extended family and friends. The family will receive friends during a celebration/visitation at the First United Methodist Church Parlor on Saturday, December 7th, 2019, 1:00 to 2:30 P.M. 400 E. 6th Street, Texarkana, AR. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you send donations to the First United Methodist Church, Texarkana, AR or the ARK-LA-TX Animal Rescue, P.O. Box 1606, Texarkana, TX 75504. Arrangements are under direction of East Funeral Home-Downtown.
