RHONDA CARROLL

Rhonda Carroll, of Texarkana, Texas, passed on Tuesday, December 3rd at Christus St. Michael Health System Texarkana after a prolonged battle with illness. Born in Texarkana on November 30th, 1953, Rhonda was a dedicated Christian who was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. After a career as a supplies systems analyst with Red River Army Depot, which led to her participation as civilian support during Operations Desert Storm and Desert Shield, she dedicated her time to local animal rescue groups such as the Poodle Patch and the Texarkana Animal League. Rhonda's compassion and fighting spirit lead her to take on the hardest cases, those dogs who many considered 'unadoptable,' giving them a new chance on life. She is survived by her son, Richard Dallas Carroll of Edwardsville, Illinois, her sister Renee Hensley of Tulsa, Oklahoma, brother Greg Tenbrook of Simms, Texas, and father Weldon Tenbrook of Texarkana, Texas. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to your choice of local animal welfare groups.
