Joyce Addison Bullock, 80, died Thursday, October 3, 2019 at her home in Jefferson City, Missouri, where she lived with her niece, Sherry Duckett (Mike Jones), since her retirement. As the owner and caregiver for hundreds of children Joyce often kept children for weeks or months when their parents went through hard times. Those children remained in her heart forever. Joyce was a member of Southeast Baptist Church in San Antonio for many years. She was baptized as a young woman and then led several of her siblings to Christ. Her love for Jesus was first and foremost in her life. She is survived by a host of nieces and nephews, others she cherished as if they were her own children or grandchildren, and friends she considered family. Joyce was also predeceased by her brothers Freddie, Arthur, Ray, J.D. and Morris, and one sister, Katherine. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 Tuesday, October 8 at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Texarkana, Texas. Although blind for most of her life Joyce never considered herself handicapped, and left this life thanking God for being so good to her.
