HOPE, Ark. — Mrs. Shirley Kay Hood, age 68 of the Crossroads community, passed away, Friday, October 11, 2019 at her home surrounded by her loved ones. She was born February 11, 1951, in Hope, Arkansas, to Newton and Pearl Mitchell Rosenbaum. Shirley was of the Christian faith and retired from banking. She is predeceased by her parents. Shirley loved spending time with her family, playing with her dogs, working with flowers, camping and fishing. She will definitely be missed by her family and friends. Shirley is survived by her husband of 54 years, Bobby Joe "B.J." Hood; two daughters, Pam (Mickey) Stout of Hope, Arkansas, Patricia Hood Rowe of Ozan, Arkansas; one son, Joe (Becky) Hood of the Crossroads community; seven grandchildren, Ryan Stout, Ashley Stout Sears, Kyle Rowe, Kolby Rowe, Natalie Hood Halbert, Courtney Hood and Emily Hood; eight great-grandchildren, Grayson, Aniston, Ellie, Anna Leiye, Zander, Mollie, Carter and Everleigh; three sisters, Rosa M. Byers of Plano, Texas, Lucille (Gene) Howard of Shreveport, Louisiana, and Virginia (Charles) Hawley of the Crossroads community; and one brother, Garland Rosenbaum of Hope, Arkansas. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, October 14, 2019, at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Neil Ridling and Bro. Charles Hawley officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Westmoreland Cemetery in the Crossroads community.
