Edith Hinton Foster, 98, of Wake Village, Texas passed away September 4, 2019 in a local hospital. She was born March 14, 1921 in Ashdown, Arkansas. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, a member at Village Community Baptist Church, and a proud Matriarch of Five Living Generations. She is preceded in death by first husband Dr. H.R. Shay; her second husband Johnnye Foster; one son Steve Foster; and her parents Albert and Ruth Hinton. She is survived by her children Kathy Batts, Doug Foster and spouse Vicki, Tanya Dunham and spouse Glenn, Greg Foster and spouse Sarah, and Jan Avery and spouse Richard; her grandchildren John Foster ans spouse Ann Villela, Billy Foster and spouse Rachel, Joe Foster and spouse Tally, Christie Foster, Bria Dunham and spouse Mark Murphy, Bryna Dunham, Leah Chapman and spouse Phill, Andrew Foster, Joni Avery and spouse Michael Nelson, Joanna Avery, Ben Avery, Kimberly McDaniel and spouse Mike, Amanda Hanks, Kevin Fountain, and Steve Fountain and spouse Brandi; her great-grandchildren Michael Foster and spouse Nicole, Matthew Foster, Will Foster, Tyler Foster, Justin Foster, Elliot Dunham-Murphy, Oliver Dunham-Murphy, Karen Lopez and spouse Patrick, Melanie Davis, Alexis Turner, Sarah Fountain, Parker Fountain, Cameron Fountain, Steven Fountain, and Bella Fountain; her great-great grandchildren Gage Foster, Jase Foster, Carter Lopez, Grant Lopez, Madison Davis, Emily Wilbanks, Katharine Wilbanks, John-David Wilbanks, Madalyn Garcia, and Kane Wadell. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2PM Saturday September 7, 2019 at Village Community Baptist Church in Wake Village with David Taylor officiating, the family will have formal visitation at the church at 1PM on Saturday prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The St. Jude Children's Hospital in Mrs. Foster's name at 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
