Gary Duncan, age 69, of Marietta, Texas, went to be with the Lord, Friday, September 6, 2019, in a Tyler, Texas hospital. Gary was born November 17, 1949, in Mt. Pleasant, Texas, to Elbridge and Verda Duncan. A man of many trades but for the past 16 years, Gary had been a farmer raising poultry and cattle. Gary was a combat Vietnam veteran who selflessly fought for his country, and Baptist by faith. Gary was an amazing husband, loving and devoted family man, known as "McGuyver" for being able to fix anything. He will be remembered as a fun loving, never met a stranger. He was preceded in death by his mother. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Ruth Ann Duncan of Marietta, Texas; father, Sonny Duncan of Talco, Texas; son Scott Duncan and wife Hannah of Georgetown, Texas; two daughters, Amy Fennell and husband Jason of Willow Park, Texas, Sarah Jean Parker and husband Kevin of Lake Dallas, Texas; two brothers, Ronny Duncan and wife Carol of Wright City, Texas, Clifton Duncan and wife Glenna of McKinney, Texas; seven grandchildren, Tyler Duncan, Eli Duncan, Ashley Duncan, Autumn Fennell, Ava Fennell, Kason Parker, Brandt Duncan Parker; and a number of nephews, nieces, and other relatives. Services will be 10 am, Monday, September 9, 2019, at Flat Creek Missionary Baptist Church, under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service.
