Lanora Faye "Zylks" Thompson

September 3, 1936 - March 31, 2020 Lanora Faye "Zylks" Thompson, born September 3, 1936, in Zylks LA, passed from this life at Rose Haven Resort in Atlanta TX, Tuesday, March 31, 2020. She was 83. Lanora is preceded in death by her husband James Earl Thompson SR; parents Samuel and Viola "Shaw" Zylks; four brothers; five sisters; sons-in-law Milo Squires and Jessie Martin; and great granddaughter Stalana Squires. She is survived by her son James Earl Thompson Jr and wife Jo of Pahrump NV ; daughters Mary Jeanette Jones and husband Arthur of Thornton WA, Margaret Ann Thompson of Denham Springs LA, Barbara Anita Gaddy and husband Vance of Atlanta TX, and Beverly Kaye Squires of Denham Springs LA; and a slew of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. Lanora will be buried under the direction of Queen City Funeral Home at Slaughter Cemetery in Rodessa LA, Thursday, April 2, 2020. A graveside service will begin at 12:00 PM.
