Roland "Pawpaw" Clemmons, age 95, of Texarkana, Arkansas, died Thursday, February 13, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family. Mr. Clemmons was born January 24, 1925 in New Boston, Texas. He was retired from Cooper Tire and Rubber Company and formerly employed with Dickey Clay. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Clemmons and his daughter, Karen Denise Clemmons. Roland enjoyed the outdoors, spending time with his son and grandson fishing and shooting. He was an experienced craftsman who could fix anything you could break. He also was a heavy equipment operator, who would spend hours on his bulldozer and tractor working on different projects. But the greatest job he was known for was that of a husband, dad, and pawpaw. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Angela Clemmons of Rhome, Texas; one granddaughter and grandson-in-law: Jennifer and Chad Solida, of Texarkana, Arkansas; his grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Jason and Autumn Nottingham of Frisco, Texas; one son-in-law, Tex Nottingham of Fouke, Arkansas; one sister, Bonnie Hester of Texarkana, Texas; one great grandson, Nash Roland Nottingham and a host of friends and other relatives. Funeral services for Mr. Clemmons will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 15, 2020 at Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas with Chaplain Robert Ward officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens.
