Clifton Lamar Dixon, 46 of Texarkana, AR died at home in a peaceful sleep on Sunday, January 5, 2020 in Texarkana, AR. Clifton was born October 4, 1973. Clifton's first job was with United Parcel Service (UPS) from the 11th Grade until the first part of 2018. He was a Reserve Deputy Sherriff for the Miller County Sherriff's Department. He was also employed as a Security Guard for Smith Keys Apartment Complex. Security Officer for The Texarkana Arkansas School District and Concealed Handgun Carry License Instructor until his untimely departure. Clifton was preceded in death by his Father, Clyde L. Dixon and Sister, Marilyn R. Davis. Clifton leaves to greatly miss him: Mother, Jo Ann Davis of Texarkana, AR; Siblings: Clarence Mixon of Texarkana, AR, Willie Mixon of Little Rock, AR, Jacqueline (Weldon) Carr of Texarkana, TX, Cheryl Mixon of Texarkana, AR, Michelle James-Way of Jackson, MS, Chandra Dixon-Lee (affectionately known as "Shonda!") of Texarkana, TX; A very special Nephew: Taylor James of Texarkana, AR; Aunts: Linda (Martin) Mays of South Carolina, Lou Hattie (O.C.) Hayes, and Nola Campbell of Texarkana, AR., and Thelma Davis of Los Angeles, CA; And a Host of other Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends. Clifton's greatest loves was his Family, Friends, Guns, and his Harley-Davidson Motorcycle. Clifton will be greatly missed by all that knew him, especially his Family. He will be in our hearts forevermore. We love you baby, daddy, brother, and uncle. Visitation is Saturday, January 11, 2020 at Lonoke Baptist Church 1841 Lonoke Ave. Texarkana, AR from 4:00-6:00 PM. Funeral Service Sunday, January 12, 2020 at Lonoke Baptist Church at 2:00 PM with Rev. Reginald Reed, Officating and Rev. Charlotte Maxwell, Eulogist. Interment at Nash Cemetery.
