VERNA HILL

Verna Mae Nichols Hill, age 97, of Mount Pleasant, TX went to her heavenly home on January 26, 2020. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at the Madden Funeral Home in Ashdown Arkansas with visitation starting at 10:00 A.M. before the service at the funeral home. Local family visitation will be Tuesday, January 28, 2020 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Curry-Welborn Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, TX. Verna was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be truly missed by all her family, including her daughter, Sue Haney of Mount Pleasant TX, her son, Nick Hill of Louisville TX, granddaughter, Ginger Anderson of Mount Pleasant TX, grandson, Nick Hill Jr. of Corpus Christi TX., great-grandchildren Kari, great-great grandchildren Braeden, Addison, and Scott, step great-grandchildren Nicole and Nathan. Ms. Hill was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ in Ashdown. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo E. Hill who passed in 1987 and her parents. The family would like to thank the staff at Heritage Park Village, Charity, Debbie, and Dale, as well as Chambers Hospice with special thanks to Esmerelda and her loving care giver Kathy Henry.
