Robert "Bobby" Joseph Ford, age 52, of Texarkana, Texas, died Friday, May 29, 2020, in Delano, Minnesota. Bobby was born August 29, 1967, in Texarkana, Texas. He enjoyed his job as a truck driver where he traveled the country. He loved to fish and hunt and was involved with Challenged Outdoorsmen of America where he took youths and the disabled on hunting trips. Bobby loved to cook for his family. He was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother and Pepaw. He had a big heart and a bigger than life personality, always choosing to put everyone before himself. Bobby was preceded in death by one son, Hunter Alec Ford. Survivors include his wife, Penny Hopkins Ford of Texarkana; his parents, Joe and Linda Ford of Redwater, Texas; one brother, Randy Ford of Redwater; his children, Tina Ford and Lexa Ford of Seabrook, Texas, Clinton Ford and wife Ashleigh, of Hooks, Ashlee Stanton and husband, Jacob Williams, Hunter Stanton and wife Brittany all of Texarkana, Lisa Hampton and husband Michael of Bossier City, Louisiana; six grandchildren, Camryn Ford, Walker Ford, Cody Hampton, Kynlee Hampton, Aria Stanton, Marius Williams and one grandchild due in November. He is also survived by a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Carla and Ty Slinkard of Kansas City, and his beloved dog, Oakley. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Bobby's employer, Top Hat Trucking Company. Funeral services will be at 10 AM Friday, June 5, 2020, at Chapelwood Funeral Home with Pastor Matt Neese officiating. Burial will follow in Old Union Cemetery, Simms, Texas. There will be no formal visitation. However, the body will lie in state from 2:00-8:00 PM Wednesday and 8 AM 8 PM Thursday. Memorial donations may be made to Runnin' WJ Ranch 4802 S.
