Irene Cobb

Irene Alchier Cobb of Texarkana, Arkansas, died Monday, June 1, 2020, in a local hospital. She was born May 5, 1927, in Springdale, Pennsyl-vania. Irene graduated from L. I. F. E. Bible college in Los Angeles, California. She and her husband, Rev. W. C. Cobb pastored Foursquare Gospel churches for many years. She retired from Wadley Regional Hospital in Texarkana, Texas, then served as chaplain on the Pastorist-Care Team. Irene was preceded in death by her parents, Anna Lysiak Alchier and Nick Alchier, husband, Rev. W. C. Cobb, a granddaughter, Dana Lorraine Cobb, three sons: Rev. James Cobb, Richard Cobb and William Cobb, daughter-in-law, Clara P. Cobb, three brothers, Peter, Bill and Christy Alchier, and sister, Mary Allen. Irene is survived by daughters-in-law Kaye Cobb of Genoa, AR and Evelyn Cobb of Ellisville, MS, nephew Larry Cobb and wife Ellen, seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held in Rondo Cemetery, Wednesday, June 3, 2020 with the Rev. Jep Cobb officiating, burial will be under the direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas.
