KELLIE MARTIN

Kellie LeGrand Martin, 51, of Maud, TX was called home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, June 2, 2020 after a brief battle with cancer. Kellie was born June 30, 1968 in Texarkana, TX to Robert Bruce, Jr. and Katrina LeGrand. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Bruce, Jr. Kellie was a proud active member of St. Edwards Catholic Church where she served as a lector and was in formation process to be a member of the third order of Carmelites. Kellie loved her church, loved her Lord, and loved her family. She will be remembered as an outgoing, outspoken, sometimes brutally honest, daughter, mother, grandmother, wife, sister, friend, aunt. She will always be known for her unwavering faith, her unconditional love, and her unrelenting spirit. Kellie had suffered numerous health issues throughout her adult life, and was ready to meet the hound of heaven. Kellie is survived by her mother, Nina LeGrand of Texarkana, AR, husband Greg Martin of Maud, TX; son Chance Martin (Melissa) of Texarkana, TX, daughter Devin Martin (Tom) of Maud, TX; Sisters Melanie Benson (Dearl) of Texarkana, AR and Amy Kennedy of Texarkana, AR. Grandson Rylan Daniels, and two nieces, Hailey Cherry and Savannah Kennedy of Texarkana, AR and was looking forward to meeting her second grandchild in November. Mass Of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 5th, 2020 at St. Edwards Catholic Church with Rev. William Burmester officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery under the direction of East Funeral Home - Downtown. Open visitation will be 10:00 a.m. - 6 p.m. Thursday, June 4th with rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m. at East Funeral Home - Downtown. The family will gather at 4 Country Estate Dr., Texarkana, AR.
