JERRY GROSS

Jerry Dennis Gross peacefully left this earth on June 29, 2020, surrounded by his family. He was the second child born to Harold and Ruth Gross on August 10, 1949, in Texarkana, Arkansas; he was a life-long resident. Jerry graduated from East Texas State University in Commerce, Texas. He was a businessman who loved his family, friends, and church. His passion was playing poker, horse racing, and Razorback football. He was a member of FUMC, Texarkana, Arkansas. He took extreme pride in his 12 grandchildren, Landon, Bryar, Brinlee, Madeline, Tyler B., Walker, Kanon, Tyler M., Austin, Kason, Kayley and Becca, and three adorable great granddaughters, Natalie, Nadia, and Hensley. And so the story goes on until we see our PaPa again! We love you and miss you! He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Ruth Gross; one brother, Jimmy Gross; and a beloved daughter, Laurel Holcombe. He is survived by his wife, Linda Gross of Texarkana; one son, Glenn Gross (Rachel) of Foreman, Arkansas; three daughters, Hollie Upchurch (Larry), Kellie Prestidge (Buddy) of Texarkana, Arkansas, and Misty May (Rob) of Carrollton, Texas; one brother, Johnny Gross (Mary) of Texarkana, Arkansas; one cousin who he loved like a sister, Sharon Andrews (Glenn) of Cedar Park, Texas. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, Texarkana, Arkansas, or Hospice of Texarkana. Mr. Gross will lie in state Wednesday July 1, from 12:00pm to 8:00pm. The funeral service will be held at Texarkana Funeral Home, Texas, Thursday July 2, at 11:00am with burial to follow at Memorial Gardens.
