Jewell Everett Coker age 82 of Fouke, Arkansas went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, June 29, 2020 surrounded by his family. Mr. Coker was born April 2, 1938 in Fouke, Arkansas and was a lifetime resident of Fouke. He was retired from Southwest Arkansas Telephone CO-OP after 35 years of devoted service. To some of his friends and family he was known as the telephone man. He was a member of Pisgah Baptist Church and a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed feeding his cows every day after a long day's work. He enjoyed spending time with his family. His grandchildren played an important role in his life and they were influenced by the example he set. He is preceded in death by his parents Ace and Amy Coker, one daughter, Lisa Coker, and two sons, Richard Coker and Ronald Coker. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Geneva "Dinkey" Coker of Fouke, Arkansas; one son and daughter in-law Vince and Karen Coker of Fouke, Arkansas; one sister Onzell Dodson of Fouke, Arkansas; one brother Horace Coker of Fouke, Arkansas; three very special grandchildren Kristen Coker of Texarkana, Texas; Lane Coker and Jacob Coker of Fouke, Arkansas and a host of friends and other relatives. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, July 2, 2020 at Pisgah Baptist Church with Rev. James Hensley and Bro. Jerry Smith officiating. Burial will be in Independence Cemetery under the direction of Texarkana Funeral Home Arkansas. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 pm Wednesday, July 1, 2020.
