PAULA CHRISTIANSON

Paula Sue Mathis Christianson, 77, of Texarkana, AR passed away June 29, 2020 in a local nursing home. Mrs. Christianson was born September 14, 1942 in Texarkana, AR. She was a member of Highland Park Baptist Church, Texarkana, TX and worked in the Texarkana area as a nurse for many years.. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Louis Mathis and James Mathis; parents Charles and Edna Mathis. Survivors include her husband, William Steven of Stonewall, LA; daughter, Angela Garrett of Texarkana, AR; grandson, Shane Garrett and granddaughter-in-law, Emilija Garoutte, both of Texarkana, AR. Service will be 2 p.m., Friday, July 3, 2020 at East Memorial Chapel - Downtown with Rev. Kevin Myers officiating. Burial will be in Old Rondo Cemetery under the direction of East Funeral Home - Downtown. Memorials may be made to Highland Park Baptist Church Building Fund.
