Mrs. Opal Lee Shaw, 82, of Fouke, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 18,2020. She was born June 28, 1937, in Mobile, Alabama and had lived in Fouke since 1962. She was a member of Fairland Holiness Church and was a Homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents, George Thomas and Bessie Mae Crane Rockwell, and two brothers, Thomas Rockwell and Prentiss Rockwell. Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Rev. Ben Shaw of Fouke, Arkansas, one daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Joe Armbrister of Fouke, Arkansas, two grandchildren, Vonda and her husband Jeff Williams of Fouke, Arkansas and Benjamin and his wife Michelle Armbrister of Bedford, Indiana, six great-grandchildren, Garrett Armbrister, Abi Armbrister, Lindsi Williams, Joseph Williams, Jacob Williams, and Blaire Armbrister, two sisters-in-law, Louise Harper of Gautier, Mississippi and Peggy Rockwell of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, a Goddaughter, Shirley Lester of Blair, Oklahoma, and a Godson, Randy Earls of Fouke, Arkansas. A celebration of her life will be at 1 P. M. Monday at Fairland Holiness Church with Rev. Lloyd Shuecraft and Rev. Joe Armbrister officiating. Burial will be at the Fairland Cemetery under the direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas. The family will receive friends at Fairland from 5 PM until 8 PM Sunday. In light of recent health concerns, the family does not wish for anyone's health to be compromised and understand for those not attending services and visitation. They ask that anyone feeling ill stay home, and they will be grateful for your thoughts and prayers if you cannot or do not wish to attend.
