DANNY THARPE

Danny Tharpe, 78, passed away at his home November 20, 2020 surrounded by his family. He was born Sept. 3, 1942 in Claxton, Georgia to Willie and Myrt Tharpe. He was the youngest of seven children, all graduating from Cocoa High School in Florida. Danny was an exceptional athlete and coach being inducted into five Halls of Fame in Florida, North Carolina, and Texas. He is survived by his wife, Reb; sons Danny Jr., Jimmy, Chad, Colt; daughter, Candice; sisters Charlotte and Sue; brother Roy; nine grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, daughter, Tammy; sisters Ouida and Bobbie; brother Willie, plus many cousins and nephews. Danny's family is having a "Celebration of Life" at Rock Creek Baptist Church on Saturday, November 28, 2020 from 1-3:00 p.m. for all who would like to attend.
