VERNA FLOWERS

Verna Mae Flowers was born on January 13, 1929 to the parentage of Jabb and Martha Coleman Baker of Garland, Arkansas. She was a long time faithful member of Roberson Temple Church of God in Christ until her journey home to see her King! Verna transitioned home on Tuesday September 15, 2020 at the graceful age of 91. She was preceded in death by her parents Jabb & Martha, two brothers Alfred Sr. and Emanuel Baker and one sister Olivia Hopson. She leaves to cherish loving memories: one son, Raymond (Shirlandia) Baker of Texarkana, TX; grandchildren, Hervey Baker of Tacoma, WA, Raylonda Baker of Texarkana, TX, Alexandria Baker of Grand Prairie, TX, Deandrea (Kevin) Cross of Kileen, TX, Roderick Wilcox of Maplewood, MN, Cassandra Wilcox of Dallas, TX and Kiera Webb of Texarkana, TX; 19 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. Viewing for Ms. Flowers will be 12-2 PM today at Haynes Mortuary. Graveside services will be 10 AM Saturday, September 26, 2020 at Chapelwood Memorial Gardens.
