Judith Ann Oosterhous was born in Madison, Wisconsin on the July 4, 1940. Throughout her life, July 4 was a time to gather and celebrate with family and friends. Judy passed peacefully from this life with family by her side on April 3, 2021, in Fort Worth, Texas. Judy attended the University of Wisconsin and graduated with a degree in Education. Throughout her school years, she was blessed with many lifelong friendships, including marriage in 1966 to her high school and college sweetheart, George D. Oosterhous. She raised her four children in Texarkana, Texas and was an active member of the community. Judy was a devoted wife, loving mother, kindhearted grandmother, kindergarten teacher and friend to many. She warmed any room that she entered and made any group that she joined more fun. Her greatest joy was spending time with her ten grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Catherine Wyngaard and brothers Michael Wyngaard and Tim Wyngaard. She is survived by her devoted husband of 54 years George D. Oosterhous of Fort Worth, Texas; sons, George C. Oosterhous and wife, Kelly of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Dan Oosterhous of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Tim and wife, Kara of Glenwood, Arkansas; daughter, Julie Chadwell and husband, Jim of Fort Worth, Texas; her ten grandchildren will carry on her legacy: Alex and Meaghan Oosterhous; Emma, Anna and Andrew Oosterhous; Graeson and Emerson Chadwell; Nate, Zac and Ben Oosterhous; brother, John C. Wyngaard; sister, Susan Wyngaard and many special nieces and nephews. The family will have a private memorial service to celebrate her life. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
