LINDA STRICKLAND

Linda Strickland, 69, of Wake Village, Texas, went to be with the Lord, on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at Hospice of Texarkana. She was born on April 13, 1951 in Ellendale, ND to Marvin and Ella Fuchs. She was preceded in death by her parents and one infant brother. Mrs. Strickland is survived by her husband of 45 years, Joseph C Strickland; daughter and son-in-law, Rachel and John Gross; son, Jason Strickland; two grandsons, Nathan and Jaxon Tubbs; three brothers, Roy and wife Lavonna Fuchs, Marty and wife Shelrae Fuchs, Rodell and wife Lori Fuchs; three sisters, Deb Savey, Rhonda and husband Tom Brandenburger and Connie and husband Keith Garrett. She is also survived by a number of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Linda was a member of Hardy Memorial United Methodist Church and volunteered at Hospice of Texarkana. She loved her time volunteering by helping with data entry and making afghans for patients. She was also a breast cancer survivor. Visitation will be Saturday, April 10, 2021 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm with funeral services at 4:00 pm, both at Hardy Memorial United Methodist Church, under the direction of East Funeral Home. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park in Texarkana, TX. Memorials may be made to Hardy Memorial United Methodist Church or Hospice of Texarkana.
