BONNIE SHAPLEY

Bonnie Jane Shapley, age 74 of Hope, Arkansas passed away Thursday, January 14, 2021 in Hope. She was born November 11, 1946 in Washington, Arkansas to Robert and Emma Jean Watson. She was a mother, homemaker, and member of Southside Baptist Church. Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 47 years Johnny Shapley; two brothers, Bobby and James Troy Watson; and an infant sister Judy Lynn Watson. She is survived by her two daughters; Julie Hays (Josh) of Nashville, Tennessee and Kristie Coon (Fred) of Emporia, Kansas; one son Jonathon Shapley (Nichole) of Poca, West Virginia; two sisters: Peggy Worthey of DeQueen, Arkansas and Mary Barnhart (Hugh) of Longview, Texas; as well as seven grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of Wadley Regional Medical Center of Hope. Graveside services will be Monday, January 18, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at Washington Cemetery in Washington, Arkansas.
