Yolonda Trentonia Jacobs Birmingham, was born February 14, 1960 in Texarkana, TX. She was the eldest of three children born to Joyce Jacobs and the late James Jacobs. On Monday, June 7, 2021 Yolonda departed this life surrounded by her loving family. She confessed Christ and gave her life to the Lord at an early age to the Bethel Seventh Day Adventist Church. Yolonda began her academic journey at Texarkana Arkansas ISD and continued her higher education at Texarkana College. Yolonda soon began employment with Texarkana Blood Services and later transitioned to Celotex/ DOW Chemical where she remained for 16 years until her retirement. During her tenure she was Head Production Operator and Union President. In her spare time Yolonda was a devoted, loving mother and an active member in her community where she spent much time volunteering with the Iron Mountain Reunion Committee and Guest Services Coordinator at the Ozan Inghram Iron Mountain Neighborhood Center. Yolonda was preceded in death by her father James Jacobs. She leaves to cherish her memories: her mother Joyce Jacobs, one daughter, LaToyia (Joseph) Williams, one son: Vinson Ar'mond Birmingham. Two sisters; Stephanie (Willie) Thibodeaux, Marla Richards and two brothers Cottrell Jacobs, Lewis (Shawn) D. Richards II, three nephews, Cordell Price, Jaylen Jacobs, and Lewis D. Richards II! and one niece; Ariel Richards. Special Friends: Shelia Moore, Anita Watson Link, and Debra Maxwell, And a host of aunts, uncles and other family members, church family and friends. Visitation will be Monday, June 14th, 2021 from 5-7 PM at Jones-Stuart Mortuary. Service will be 10am Tuesday, June 15th, 2021 at Chapelwood Memorial Gardens, 1001 North Kings Hwy Texarkana, TX under the direction of Jones Stuart Mortuary. Masks are required!
