JAMES HARPER

ASHDOWN, Ark.—James Booker Harper, 79, of Foreman, Ark., died Saturday, Nov. 28, 2009, in Texarkana, Texas. <br />Mr. Harper was born Nov. 7, 1930, in Florence, Ark. He was a member of Florence Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Sue Pounders; one son, Jerry Harper; and one daughter, Teresa Harper. <br />Survivors include his wife, Mattie Mae Harper of Foreman; two sons and daughters-in-law, Mearl and Donna Harper of Beckman, La., and James and Rita Harper of Foreman; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Walter Deleon of Houston and Myrena and Phil McMahon of McGehee, Ark.; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. <br />Memorial services will be 2 p.m. today at Florence Baptist Church with Jake Lindsey officiating. Arrangements are under direction of Madden Funeral Services. <br /> <br />
