MILDRED MARLAR

STAMPS, Ark.—Mildred Idell Marlar, 83, of Sarepta, La., formerly of Lewisville, Ark., died Saturday, Nov. 28, 2009, in a Springhill, La., hospital. <br />Mrs. Marlar was born July 1, 1926, in Texarkana, Ark. She was a retired beautician, a homemaker and a member of Anderson Baptist Church, Springhill. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Austin Auvelle Marlar and John Arthur Hicks; and one son, Nicky Auvelle Marlar. <br />Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Brenda Jo Marlar and Mickey Hodges of Shongaloo, La.; one sister, Betty Jo O’Rear Myers of Texarkana; one grandchild and grandchild-in-law, Ginna Kay and Harlon Alford of Sarepta; two nephews, Jimmy Myers of Lake o’ the Pines, Texas, and Robert Swan of Texarkana; one niece, Melanie Ann Myers of Odgen, Ark.; and a number of other relatives. <br />Services will be 2 p.m. today at Smith Funeral Home with William Tyler officiating. Burial will be in Wilson Cemetery, Lewisville. <br /> <br />
