DE QUEEN, Ark.—Loyd Coy Smith, 70, of De Queen died Sunday, Nov. 29, 2009, in a Texarkana hospital. <br />Mr. Smith was born Oct. 5, 1939, in De Queen. He was retired from the Deveraux Foundation and a Navy veteran. <br />Survivors include two sons, Loyd Coy Smith Jr. of Chesapeake, Va., and Brad Hindley of Victoria, Texas; three daughters, Teresa Law of Ratcliff, Ark., and Gayla Belcher and Dawn Smith of De Queen; one brother, Floyd Smith of Skiatook, Okla.; three sisters, Mae Turner of De Queen, Ruby Mitchell of Liberty, Miss., and Evelyn Smith of Jacksonville, Fla.; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. <br />Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Valley Cemetery, Gillham, Ark., with Jimmy Rhoden officiating. Burial is under direction of Chandler Funeral Home. <br />Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. <br />Online registration is at www.chandlerfuneral.com. <br /> <br />
