HUGHES SPRINGS, Texas—Willie Jane Brown, 65, of Cason, Texas, died Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2009, at her home. <br />Mrs. Brown was born March 30, 1944, in Morris County, Texas. She was retired from Lone Star Steel, former employee of Pilgrim’s Pride, and a member of Prayer Garden COGIC, where she was treasurer and president of pastor’s aide. <br />Survivors include seven children, Sheila Hawkins of Longview, Texas, Elvettia Canton, Bennie Brown and Katherine Reeves of Cason, Montoya Brown of Garland, Texas, John “Bobo” Brown of Lancaster, Texas, and Fabian Brown of Daingerfield, Texas; one brother, Charles “John” Brown of Cason; two aunts, Dorothy Smith of Cason and Leuella Hollins of Naples, Texas; 18 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. <br />Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Shady Grove Baptist Church, Cason. Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery under direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home. <br />The body may be viewed today at the funeral home. <br />Online registration is at www.reeder-davis.com.
