DEWEY PENNY

CLARKSVILLE, Texas—Dewey D. Penny, 81, of Clarksville died Thursday, Dec. 3, 2009, in a Mount Pleasant, Texas, hospital. <br />Mr. Penny was born Dec. 8, 1927, in DeKalb, Texas. He was a Baptist and an Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn Penny Mathis. <br />Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Bernie Penny of Clarksville and Mark and Patty Penny of Sulphur Springs, Texas; two daughters and sons-in-law, Pam and Ross Mitchell of Clarksville and Belinda and Ken Baxter of Daingerfield, Texas; one sister, Evelyn Arterbury of Texarkana; one brother, Eddie Boyd Penny of La Grange, Texas; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. <br />Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Clarksville Funeral Home with the Rev. James Brown officiating.
