WILLIAM DIXON

HOPE, Ark.—William Ed “Brother” Dixon, 57, of Emmet, Ark., died Thursday, Dec. 3, 2009, in a local hospital. <br />Mr. Dixon was born Oct. 9, 1952, in Emmet. He was retired from Meyers Bakery and attended Antioch Baptist Church. //He was preceded in death by two brothers, Michael and Kenneth Dixon; one sister, Pheneria McLay; and one godson, David Griffin.// <br />Survivors include one son, Emmanuel Dixon; his mother, Era Dixon of Emmet; two brothers, Johny Dixon of Emmet and Jessie Dixon of Prescott, Ark.; four sisters, Meneria Morrison of Blevins, Ark., Wonda Watts of McCaskill, Ark., and Kathleen Batson and Ida Williamson of Emmet; his fiancé, Loretta Nelson; one godson, Shannon Griffen; and a number of other relatives. <br />Services will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev//s//. Russel Latson and Alvin Hunter officiating. Burial will be in Scott’s Memorial Gardens, Perrytown, Ark., under direction of Hicks Funeral Home. <br />Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
