DOROTHY MOORE

Dorothy Moore, 85, of Katy, Texas, died Monday, Dec. 7, 2009, in a Katy hospital. <br />Mrs. Moore was born Feb. 27, 1924, in Avery, Texas. She was retired from the federal prison system and a member of First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Moore; and one son, Thomas Lawson. <br />Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and David Beltrami of Katy; one sister, Jo Melde of Texarkana; three grandchildren, Jeff Beltrami, Jon Beltrami and Helen Beltrami; and one great-granddaughter, Natalia Beltrami of Katy. <br />Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Chapelwood Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Larry Sims officiating. Burial will be under direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Texas. <br />Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. <br />Online registration is at www.texarkanafuneralhome.com. <br /> <br />
