DAVID MALABY SR.

David William Malaby Sr., 79, of Texarkana, Texas, died Thursday, Dec. 10, 2009, in Texarkana. <br />Mr. Malaby was born May 31, 1930, in Texarkana, Ark. He was former owner of East Funeral Home, past president of Arkansas Funeral Directors Association, Texarkana Lions Club, Texarkana Heart Association and Four States Fair Association, a certified public accountant, a member of New Covenant Sunday School class and First United Methodist Church and an Air Force veteran. <br />Survivors include his wife, Marylu Malaby of Texarkana; two sons, David Malaby Jr. of Dallas and Mitchel Malaby Sr. of Texarkana; one daughter and son-in-law, Crista and Brad Thomas of Texarkana; eight grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. <br />Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bruce Bennett officiating.
