ANN SIMMONS

Ida Ann Simmons, 98, of Nash, Texas, died Saturday, Dec. 12, 2009, in a local nursing home. <br />Mrs. Simmons was born March 21, 1911, in Deport, Texas. She was a homemaker, a worthy past matron of the Eastern Star, past president of the Texarkana Assembly 196 Social Order of the Beauceant and a member of First Baptist Church, Nash. She was preceded in death by her husband, Orval Simmons. <br />Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Lois and Max Wild of Mesquite, Texas; one son and daughter-in-law, Billy and Pat Simmons of Texarkana; two grandchildren and grandchildren-in-law, Tamme and Ed Kunkel of Seabrook, Texas, and Raudy and Julie Smith of Marble Falls, Texas; six great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. <br />Services will be 2 p.m. today at Chapelwood Funeral Home.
