RICHARD CHISM

MOUNT PLEASANT, Texas—Richard H. Chism, 63, of Mount Pleasant died Friday, Dec. 18, 2009, in Tyler, Texas. <br />Mr. Chism was born March 29, 1946, in Mount Pleasant. He was retired from Lone Star Steel Co. and a member of Wallick Chapel Christian Church and Sheppard Street Church of Christ, Mount Pleasant. <br />Survivors include his wife, Gladys Watson Chism of Mount Pleasant; two daughters, Jackie Aikins of DeSoto, Texas, and Jennifer Ivery of Mount Pleasant; four sons, Harold Watson and Ricky Watson of Daingerfield, Texas, Steve Chism of Dallas and Ja’Cory Chism of Mount Pleasant; two brothers, Chief Chism Jr. of Mesquite, Texas, and Melvin Chism of Mount Pleasant; three sisters, Mary F. Thursby of Mount Pleasant, Linda Roberson of Dallas and Betty Young of Lancaster, Texas; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. <br />Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Sheppard Street Church of Christ with Skippy Norman officiating. Burial will be in Reynolds Cemetery, Daingerfield, under direction of Tumey Mortuary. <br />The body may be viewed from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday and from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home and from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday at the church. <br /> <br />
