LESLIE JACKSON

Leslie C. “Jack” Jackson, 85, of Texarkana, Ark., died Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2009, at his home. <br />Mr. Jackson was born March 14, 1924, in Stamps, Ark. He was a retired insurance agent, a former deacon and member of Walnut Street Church of Christ, a member of Hampton Church of Christ and a World War II Army Air Corps veteran. <br />Survivors include his wife, Helen Smith Jackson of Texarkana; three sons, Charles Jackson and Bobby Jackson of Texarkana and Thomas Jackson of Cambellsburg, Ky.; four sisters, Helen Ray of Jacksonville, Texas, Corine Odell of Hope, Ark., Ruth Lewis of Buckner, Ark., and Hazel Waddell of Sherwood, Ark.; two brothers, W.Y. Jackson of Hope and Robert Jackson of El Dorado, Ark.; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. <br />Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas, with Don Brown and Jerry Monholland officiating. Graveside services will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Wilson Cemetery, Lewisville. <br />Relatives will be at the family home, 2001 Glendale, Texarkana, Ark. <br />Memorials may be made to Hospice of Texarkana, 3605 Jefferson, Texarkana, AR 71854; or to The Children’s Home, 5515 Walcott Road, Paragould, AR 72450. <br />Online registration is at www.texarkanafuneralhome.com. <br />
