HOWARD TURNER

DE QUEEN, Ark.—Howard Truman Turner, 73, of Lafayette, La., died Friday, Dec. 25, 2009, at his home. <br />Mr. Turner was born March 5, 1936, in Gillham, Ark. He was a safety consultant, a member of St. Edmond Catholic Church, Lafayette, and a Korean War Air Force veteran. <br />Survivors include his wife, Lila Slabaugh Turner of Lafayette; one daughter and son-in-law, Valerie and Paul LeBas of Lafayette; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Charles and Peggy Turner and Gordon Turner of De Queen; and four grandchildren, Lindsey LeBas, Jean Paul LaBas, Andre Luc LaBas and Emile Renee LeBas of Lafayette. <br />Mass was Sunday at Fountain Memorial Funeral Home, Lafayette, with the Rev. Father Timothy Richard officiating. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. today in Valley Cemetery, Gillham, under direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home. <br />Online registration is at www.wilkersonfuneralhomes.com. <br />
