JOHN MONSEY

SWEETWATER, Texas—John Douglas Monsey, 70, of Blackwell, Texas, died Friday, Feb. 27, 2009, in a local hospital. <br />Mr. Monsey was born Aug. 6, 1938, in Stamford, Texas. He was the owner and operator of Lucky Bottle Feed Store. He was preceded in death by his wife, Enola Monsey. <br />Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Codi and David Davis of Sweetwater; one sister, Jo Nell Shipp of Hereford, Texas; and one granddaughter, Kelci Renee Davis of Sweetwater; and a number of other relatives. <br />Services will be 4 p.m. Monday at Cate-Spencer and Trent Funeral Home. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Offarrell Cemetery, Atlanta, Texas with the Rev. Aubrey Jones officiating. <br /> <br />
