JOEL HARPER

ATLANTA, Texas—Joel W. Harper, 87, of Atlanta died Thursday, March 5, 2009, in Atlanta. <br />Mr. Harper was born Oct. 26, 1921, in Atlanta. He was owner of Harper Berry Farm, Laws Chapel, Texas, and a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Sabian Harper and Shava Harper. <br />Survivors include his wife, Betty Stewart Harper of Atlanta; two sons and daughters-in-law, Dan and Ashu Harper of San Diego and Don and Kim Harper of Atlanta; one daughter and son-in-law, Mary Lou and Kenny Goodson of Atlanta; one brother and sister-in-law, Cyrus and Delois Harper of Atlanta; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. <br />Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Pine Crest Cemetery with Kenny Goodson officiating.
