GERALD GREEN

NEW BOSTON, Texas—Gerald Green, 86, of New Boston died Monday, March 9, 2009, in a Texarkana hospital. <br />Mr. Green was born Oct. 27, 1922, in Bloomburg, Texas. He was retired from Red River Army Depot, a member of Tapp Memorial United Methodist Church and a Marine veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lula Green, on March 8; and one son, Mitchell Green. <br />Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Cindi Green of New Boston; one daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Marty Yount of New Boston; two special cousins, Tommy and Teresa McGee; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. <br />Services will be 2 p.m. today at Tapp Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. Gary Bagley officiating. Burial will be in New Boston Cemetery under direction of Bates-Rolf Funeral Home. <br />Online registration is at www.batesrolffuneralhome.com. <br /> <br />
