MAXIE GAGE

DE QUEEN, Ark.—Maxie Glen Gage, 77, of De Queen died Monday, March 9, 2009, in a local hospital. <br />Mr. Gage was born Dec. 6, 1931, in Estelline, Texas. He was a security guard for Husqvarna, founder of Humane Society of Sevier County, a member of Smyrna Church of Christ and a Korean War Navy veteran. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Beverly Stringer. <br /> Survivors include his wife, Juannelle Wesson Gage; one daughter and son-in-law, Ramona and Ronnie Butler of De Queen; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Joyce and Ronnie Pickens and Merle and Bill Renfrow of De Queen; two grandchildren and one spouse, Jared Butler of De Queen and Trevor and Teresa Butler of Conway, Ark.; and a number of other relatives. <br />Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Charles Foster Krudwig officiating. Burial will be in Smyrna Cemetery. <br />Visitation will be 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. <br />Memorials may be made to Humane Society of Sevier County, P.O.
