ROLAND JONES

Roland Frederick Jones, 81, of Texarkana, Texas, died Wednesday, March 4, 2009, at his home. <br />Mr. Jones was born Dec. 6, 1927, in Texarkana, Texas. He was a mortician, owner of Richardson Hill Funeral Home, former member of TISD Board of Trustees, former councilman for City of Texarkana, Texas, charter member of National Dunbar Alumni Association, an Army veteran and a member of Oak Street Baptist Church, where he was a Sunday school teacher, deacon and trustee. <br />Services will be noon Thursday at Oak Street Baptist Church with the Rev. L.B. George Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens under direction of Haynes Mortuary. <br />Visitation will be 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. today at Haynes Mortuary and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at Richardson Hill Funeral Home. <br />Online registration is at www.haynesmortuary.com. <br /> <br />
